New, easy transaction and payment processing is now available online. All forms have been redesigned and made accessible for your convenience. This also will allow for quicker processing and greater accuracy in the registry's records.

Of course, if you prefer to complete forms and mail or email them, the new forms can be found below. Just like before you can email supporting documents like photos, scans of Certificates of Registrations and Ram lease Certificates.

Adult Registration News

Previously, all lambs needed to be registered in the year in which they were born. This left a gap for adult sheep - or those who have aged out of the registration process due to age. While it is most cost effective for you to register all stock within the year of their birth, you can now apply to register them late with a late fee of $7.50 each, making the total $17.50 per head.

You must be the Breeder of the Lamb and register it within the calendar year during which is was born. Ex: date of birth: 10/27/2024, must be registered by Dec 31, 2024.

You must be a current HSSR member to register lambs. If you are not current on your membership, complete a Membership form also.

PHOTO REQUIREMENTS / TIPS
Two full body photos (one of each side) are required. Lambs should be presented as close to 90 degrees from your camera lens.

Avoid distracting backgrounds: no other sheep in the shot. Full body means we can see the tip of the nose to the tip of the rump/tail, and from the top of the head to bottom of the hooves.

Use HIGH RESOLUTION setting on your phone or camera and set to BURST or CONTINUOUS for at least 10 rapid shots so you have a few to choose from. Ideally, but the lamb in a confined area like a stall, and get in there with them. If you stay to one corner, it is much easier to capture both sides.

We do not accept pictures of a lamb being held. Please avoid contact with people in your photos. NO headshots showing a readable tag are required.

Transfer Ownership

Adult sheep can be transferred by current members of HSSR into their own name.
If you are selling a sheep, you may process a transfer to the new owner only if the new owner is a current member of HSSR.
A lamb must be registered prior to transferring, and is subject to the rules above

Duplicate CoR

Duplicate Certificates of Registration may be ordered for the following reasons:

> Lost/Damaged
> Ear Tag change
> Add Microchip,
> Add Genetic testing results

Ram Lease Certificate

When registering Lambs where a sire was loaned/leased, you must submit a Ram Lease/Loan Certificate from the owner of the ram. Click on title to access form.

About Harlequins and Babydolls

The only outcrossing allowed is a registered Babydoll Southdown to a registered Harlequin. We accept Babydolls registered with: NABSSAR, BSRA, BSSBA, and OEBR
